COLOMBIA - Cafe Granja La Esperanza, CGLE-17 Ruby lot #13

Ruby lot #13 is a CGLE-17 variety, a hybrid of the Geisha and Caturra, created by the CGLE team through an extensive hybridisation process. This new variety combines the elegance and acidity of Geisha with the yield of Caturra, making it a more commercially viable option for producing high-quality coffees. The coffee was naturally processed with gives it an incredible body and sweetness.

APAX LAB acquired Ruby lot #13 in a private CGLE auction in 2023. This coffee was one of our favourites due to its complexity and distinct stone fruit characteristics, which can vary from apricot to cherry depending on the brewing method and the water used.

We recommend using 1.5 / 1.5 / 1 g/L of TONIK / JAMM / LYLAC when brewing this coffee to achieve the most balanced and complex expression of its flavours.
