The APAX LAB TDS Meter is a simple, reliable tool designed to help you measure and control your brewing water with more precision.

A TDS Meter measures the electrical conductivity of water and provides an estimated reading of total dissolved solids. This helps you check your water quality, monitor dilution levels, and keep your brewing water more consistent from one recipe to the next.

Why Use a TDS Meter?

When brewing with APAX LAB, precision matters.

Our mineral concentrates are designed to help shape how coffee tastes and feels in the cup, from clarity and sweetness to texture, acidity and balance.

A TDS Meter allows you to check that your brewing water sits within your desired concentration range, giving you more confidence and repeatability every time you brew.

What It Helps With

  • Checking the TDS of your base water before brewing
  • Verifying your water after adding APAX LAB mineral concentrates
  • Maintaining more consistent dilution levels
  • Comparing different water recipes
  • Improving repeatability across brews
  • Supporting better control over your final cup profile

Recommended Use

Use the APAX LAB TDS Meter when preparing brewing water with TONIK, JAMM, LYLAC, KONFLUX, or any APAX LAB custom profile.

It is especially useful when diluting APAX LAB concentrates into demineralised, distilled or low-TDS water, helping you confirm that your water is sitting within your intended range before brewing.

How To Use

  1. Remove the protective cap.
  2. Press the ON/OFF button. The display should read “000”.
  3. Immerse the TDS Meter into water at approximately 25°C, no deeper than 5 cm.
  4. Wait for the reading to stabilise. This usually takes 10 to 30 seconds.
  5. Press the HOLD button to keep the reading on screen while removing the meter from the water.
  6. Press the ON/OFF button to turn the meter off.
  7. After use, shake off excess water or wipe the probe gently with a clean tissue.
  8. Replace the protective cap.

Important Notes

  • Do not use the TDS Meter in hot water.
  • For best results, test water at approximately 25°C.
  • If the display shows a flashing “x10” icon, multiply the displayed TDS reading by 10.
  • A TDS Meter estimates total dissolved solids through conductivity. It does not identify individual minerals in the water.
